Megan Levine is an artist and math educator in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her work consists of arrangements of watercolor paper mounted on canvas. Driving her practice are her fascinations with relationships— human, mathematical, and linguistic— and how these can be translated into abstract form. Levine creates from the crossroads of several identities, translating her experiences and observations into abstract compositions. The saturated color palette and use of texture are key to her distinct style. Levine’s work has been featured in shows including San Francisco City College (2018), Piedmont Center for the Arts juried show (2019), and “Collage and Mixed Media” for San Francisco Women Artists (2021).
