Circular Relativity This series draws on the internal power of the circle. With all points equidistant from the center, a circle is self-sufficient. However, like planets in space, the gravitational pull of the circle extends beyond itself. I find the tension and energy derived from placing circles in relation to each other to be an excellent way to represent the complex, multiform, often ineffable relationships between individuals.

Each work in this series is meant to evoke a human relationship: either to oneself, another person, or within a group. I have a particular interest in representing non-monogamous configurations and queer chosen families, to normalize unconventional relationships and challenge amatonormativity.
